Album kelima band asal Kanada ini masih memegang kuat ciri khas band mereka yang kuat di ritme. Di lagu pertama yang berjudul sama dengan albumnya, Underclass Hero, malah ada beberapa bagian yang langsung mengingatkan kita sama lagu lama mereka, In Too Deep. Tapi di lagu keenam, Sum 41 bikin lagu berbahasa Perancis yang lucu, Ma Poubelle (yang berarti “tempat sampahku”). Lagu yang cuma berdurasi satu menit lebih ini, beda banget sama lagu-lagu lainnya di album ini. Personelnya yang tinggal tiga orang saja ternyata nggak berpengaruh ke musik mereka. Malah, sang vokalis, Deryck Whibley, berani produserin sendiri album ini.
